VIA Library and COVID19

Re-opening of VIA Library

The VIA Libraries are open again under normal conditions except for VIA Library C and N in Aarhus.

Regarding Campus C:

The library has opened up again, as a place for studying, too, with some restrictions though.
You can use the library facilities all day but only on the days on which you have physical classes on Campus C.
On days where you do NOT have physical classes on campus, you can pick up and drop off materials after 2PM.

Regarding Campus N:

In effect for Campus N: Kept open on a basic level with limited access. It is possible to loan and return materials in addition to scanning/printing. There is a special permit in place for B.A. degree students on 7th. semester to use the library as study place during the staffed hours. Advising sessions of long duration should be booked as an online meeting, contact your librarian.

You have 24/7 access to the VIA Library on Campus C but not on Campus N.

TOGO

VIA Library – an Important Contribution to the Core Service

The Book Is Not Dead

Over the last centuries, many have declared the book dead and predicted that it is only a matter of time before everyone reads literature on a screen, iPad, e-reader, smartphone etc. However, the COVID lockdown has shown us that the printed sources still represent a significant part of the knowledge foundation of the VIA programs. The consequences of the VIA Library lockdown have thus greatly impacted many students and their chances of accessing information and literature.
