What do you need to know about copyright?

To avoid violating the Copyright Act it is important for you as a student to know the rules of scanning and photocopying materials.

When scanning curriculum and supplementary literature you are allowed to scan 20% of a material, however a maximum of 30 pages of the material, and you are not allowed to share the file with anyone outside your household.

Læs mere her!

VIA Library – an Important Contribution to the Core Service

The Book Is Not Dead

Over the last centuries, many have declared the book dead and predicted that it is only a matter of time before everyone reads literature on a screen, iPad, e-reader, smartphone etc. However, the COVID lockdown has shown us that the printed sources still represent a significant part of the knowledge foundation of the VIA programs. The consequences of the VIA Library lockdown have thus greatly impacted many students and their chances of accessing information and literature.

CoVid19 & VIA Library

Access to your physical educational library has temporarily been changed due to the Covid19 situation in Denmark.

All VIA students, teachers, and staff are allowed to access the facilities of VIA Library while finding library material for loans. Access is possible on all week days between 9-12 - in some places longer opening hours - see FAQ. Returning and collecting reserved material is of course also possible, however it is not allowed to use the library as reading room nor are any other study activities allowed. More time-consuming requests and information searches in collaboration with the librarians will continue online.

FAQ – read more here

In general, feel free to contact your local VIA library – we will answer as fast as possible – find email adresses here.
